<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />Public Safety Commission <br />October 10, 2022 City Hall <br />Council Chambers 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />I. Call to Order <br /> <br />The hybrid meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chair Hollimon. <br /> <br />II. Roll Call: <br />Members Present: Commissioners Aisha Ali (attending remotely), Robert Boyd, Geoff <br />Hollimon, Leah Kuipers, Adam Stout (attending remotely), Roberto Valdizan, Karen Wagner, <br />and Jack Winkels (attending remotely). Also in attendance was Student Commissioner Samuel <br />Strong. <br /> <br />Members Absent: None. <br /> <br />Also Present: Director Tony Paetznick, Sergeant Matt Farmer, Council Member Graeme Allen <br />and Dave Matteson (Allina Health). <br /> <br />III. Approval of Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Wagner, seconded by Kuipers to approve the October 10, 2022 agenda as presented. <br />A roll call vote was taken. Motion carried 8-0. <br /> <br />IV. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Wagner, seconded by Boyd to approve the September 12, 2022 minutes as presented. <br />A roll call vote was taken. Motion carried 8-0. <br /> <br />V. Presentations and Business Items <br /> <br />A. UAV/Drone Public Comment Results – Matt Farmer, Community Outreach, Education <br />& Intervention Sergeant <br /> <br />Sergeant Farmer discussed the public comment the Public Safety Department received this <br />summer regarding the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle/Drone program. He commented on the <br />website that was created for the proposed program and noted individuals could fill out a <br />department survey, email, in-person or mail in comments. He explained the City would also <br />be holding a public comment period at an upcoming City Council meeting. It was noted the <br />department also reached out to the public on National Night Out and at the farmers market. <br />The results from the survey were reviewed in detail with the Commission. He reported <br />maintaining public trust and privacy were concerns of the public. The solutions for this
