Call to Order <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:33 p.m. <br /> <br />II. Roll Call <br /> <br />Members Present: Commissioners Carlos Herrera, Kristin Lau, Jonas Lim, Jason Steffenhagen, <br />and Ruben Vasquez. Also present was student commissioner Hayden Anderson. <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioners Kami Miller, Sanja Obradovic, Lindsay Spooner and Ellen <br />Weber. <br /> <br />Also Present: DEI Coordinator Mark Suggs, Parks and Recreation Director Jennifer Fink, and <br />Mayor Kari Niedfeldt-Thomas <br /> <br />III. Approval of Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Lim, seconded by Commissioner Herrera to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br /> <br />Approved 5-0 <br /> <br />IV. Business Items <br /> <br />A. Presentation from Government Alliance on Race and Equity (GARE) <br /> <br />Suggs stated the Government Alliance on Racial Equity (GARE) is a national network of <br />government organizations working to achieve racial equity and advance opportunities for all. It <br />has been in existence since 2014. The City joined 350 other local and regional jurisdictions as a <br />member of GARE in 2022. The goal of GARE is not just to eliminate the gap between white
