<br /> <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR COMMISISON CONSIDERATION <br /> <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION: FINAL 2023/24 Work Plan <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD’S APPROVAL: <br />CITY MANAGER’S APPROVAL: <br />No comments to supplement this report ___ Comments attached ___ <br /> <br />Recommendations: Review Council approved workplans for all commissions, and approved <br />meeting topics specifically for the EDC <br /> Receive/review the final 2023 work plan based on past discussions and <br />Council’s approved meeting topics <br /> Suggest any modifications/updates consistent with Council approved <br />meeting topics <br />Legislative History: On a yearly basis, staff will work with the Commission to prepare a <br />generalized work plan for the coming service year (April through March). <br />Commission suggestions and feedback at the 4/2/23 joint Council meeting <br />resulted in this year’s final workplan. <br />Financial Impact: None. While the eventual actions of the Commission on individual items <br />are sure to have financial impact on the community, adoption of a <br />generalized yearly work plan does not alone drive specific impacts <br />Summary: The attached work plan identifies anticipated meeting dates and topics for <br />the coming year. Proposed actions & outcomes are identified for each <br />meeting. <br /> Nothing is set in stone, and staff reserves the right to pivot the <br />Commission’s attention to other topics as dictated by real world events & <br />new development proposals. <br /> Traditional breaks in summer and over the holidays are reflected in the <br />draft schedule. <br /> <br />Attachments: 1) 2023/2024 Commission Work Plans (anticipated to receive Council <br />approval on 5/2/23) <br />Agenda Section: VI <br />Item: 1 <br />Report Date: 04/26/23 <br /> Commission Meeting Date: 05/03/23
