RESOLUTION NO. 2022‐ <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING OUTGOING COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton’s advisory commissions play an integral role in reviewing and <br />making recommendations to the City Council regarding matters of public policy; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, each individual appointed to the City’s commission spend hours each month researching, <br />reading and participating in discussions to advise the City Council on: matters concerning industrial and commercial development for the city, <br /> matters concerning diversity, equity and inclusion, <br /> the proper use of and care for parks and the natural environment as well as recreational <br />activities in the City, <br /> all land use planning matters; and matters related to the goals, and <br /> policies and operations of public safety functions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, each individual appointed to the City’s advisory commissions volunteers their time as a way <br />to give back to their community and make the City of New Brighton a better place to live; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of New Brighton recognizes significant <br />contributions and appreciates the service of the following individuals as they leave the service of the <br />City: <br /> Matthew Arndt (Economic Development Commission) <br /> Mike Murlowski (Economic Development Commission) <br /> Ruben Vasquez (Equity Commission) <br /> Hayden Anderson (Equity Commission) <br /> Randell Wyatt (Parks, Recreation and Environmental Commission) <br /> Ellie Dostal Dauer (Planning Commission) <br /> Jack Winkels (Public Safety Commission) <br /> Sam Strong (Public Safety Commission) <br /> Robert Boyd (Public Safety Commission) <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 28th day of March, 2023 by the New Brighton City Council with a vote of ayes and <br /> nays. <br /> <br />Kari Niedfeldt‐Thomas, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: Devin Massopust, City Manager <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Terri Spangrud, City Clerk
