<br />New Brighton Energy Action Plan 21 <br />Strategy 3: Engage businesses to enroll in energy efficiency programs <br />Commercial and industrial businesses are the largest energy users by premise. Engaging businesses <br />with energy efficiency opportunities has a high potential impact to help businesses save energy and <br />money and help New Brighton reach its Energy Action Plan goals. <br /> <br />Desired Outcomes: <br />One or more businesses make energy efficiency improvements. Awareness of energy efficiency grows <br />in the business community. <br /> <br />Actions: <br />3a Encourage high commercial energy users to enroll in <br />energy efficiency programs <br />The City, Economic Development <br />Commission and City Council will lead <br />this effort and leverage city relationships <br />and the Chamber of Commerce to <br />develop business partnerships <br />3b Work with a leading business to provide a case study <br />on commercial energy efficiency projects <br />The City and Partners in Energy will look <br />for existing projects to highlight and <br />promote <br />Timeline: Near-term (1–6 Months) <br /> <br />Other considerations/partnerships/funding opportunities for this strategy: <br />Potential communication channels include the North TV Channel and the local and state Chamber of <br />Commerce networks. <br />
