New Brighton Climate Action Plan 2 -7 <br />Transportation and Land Use <br />Planned Sector Emission Reductions Through <br />2030 <br />The strategies and actions included in this section of the <br />Climate Action Plan are projected to reduce the city’s <br />annual GHG emissions by 21,902 metric tons (MT) <br />annually by 2030 - a 22% reduction. In addition there <br />were 34,197 annual metric ton reductions experienced <br />since 2013. The result is a total city-wide Transportation <br />and Land Use sector reduction of 56% below 2013 levels. <br /> <br />When compared to 2013 emissions, this is equivalent to <br />eliminating over 10,000 of the city’s current vehicles from <br />the road, or 1.1 billion cubic feet of human-made GHG <br />atmosphere annually by 2030. <br /> <br />Sector Emissions Reduction below 2013 by <br />2030 <br />The total change to sector emissions include CAP <br />reductions and business-as-usual (BAU) emission changes <br />as follows:
