<br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO.....2..!.=... 31 <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING INCREASED METER READING BY <br />CITY PERSONNEL <br /> <br />Whereas, the City bills for water and sewer services based on actual usage; <br />Whereas, the customer has been required to supply usage for six months of the <br />year through completion of a read card; <br />Whereas, remotes have been installed to permit ease of access; <br />Whereas, the presence of the remote makes it possible for the City to gather <br />usage during the entire year; <br />Whereas, City reading for the entire year adds both benefits and efficiencies; <br /> <br />Now, therefore be it resolved that: <br /> <br />1. The City will assume full year reading responsibility for those utility accounts <br />equipped with a working remote. <br /> <br />2. The property owner will be responsible for providing timely access to the meter <br />in event there is need for repair of the meter or the remote. A special charge shall <br />be assessed in those cases where timely access is not provided. The special <br />charge is for the added work associated with maintaining the account. The special <br />charge shall be a minimum of $15. per billing period. <br /> <br />3. Any customer who does not have a remote shall permit City personnel to read <br />the meter twice during the winter billing period. Additionally, the customer will <br />supply a reading on a read card when requested by the City. A special charge <br />shall be assessed for each reading and read card. The special charge is for <br />the added work associated with maintaining the account. The special charge <br />shall be a minimum of $15. per billing period.
