-<

RESOLUTION NO. 93-097

STATE OF MINNESOTA
COUNTY OF RAMSEY
CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON

RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING SPECIAL USE PERMIT, SP-I77
(SIGN PLAN FOR 151 SILVER LAKE ROAD).

WHEREAS, an application for SP-I77 has been made by Rodney Billman; and

WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as follows:
1. An application for a Special Use Permit, SP-l77, was filed with the City of New Brighton on
July 2, 1993.
2. The Planning Commission, pursuant to published and mailed notices, held a public hearing on
July 20, 1993, and all persons present at the hearing were given an opportunity to be heard.
3. The City Council considered SP-l77 at its July 27, 1993, meeting.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council makes the following Findings of Fact in
respect to SP-I77:

1. On September 23, 1985, the City Council approved special use permit SP-129 designating 151
Silver Lake Road as an area of Special Control and adopting a sign plan.
2. The applicant proposes to amend the original sign plan to allow for the following:
a. Change the name of the building to "Silver Wood Corporate Center - A Business
Community. "
b. The existing ground sign would include two 3.5 x 7 foot signs and seven 14 inch x 8 foot
signs. This would increase the size of the existing ground sign by 9 square feet to a total
of 96 square feet.
c. A 4 x 6 foot sign would be placed on the west wall identifying the building as previously
noted under item a..
d. A 5 x 10 foot canopy with signage identifying "kk Pet Hospital" be installed on the
south wall of the building.

*Items c. and d. above would replace the original signage identifying the IGA

food store.

3. The applicant has proposed a sign plan for the subject site and building and said signage would
comply with the special use standards found in Section 9-150 (d).

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the application SP-l77 is hereby approved and the attached text is
hereby adopted as an amendment to the sign plan for 151 Silver Lake Road.

Adopted this 27th day of July, 1993.

~

Robert Benke, Mayor

ATTEST,.

~W

Margaret Eg ,
Finance Director/City Clerk

Barbara J e

(SEAL)
