CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON

Agenda Section: _V I" '-I
Report Number: 0(0 "O&q

REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION

Report Date: March 15, 2006

DEPT. HEAD'S APPROVAL:

Comments attached

Explanation:

Currently the FSC holds in storage two older TR-9100HR treadmills and one on the floor. The FSC
does not have the kind of storage to house these large machines. The recommended form of action is
to have the treadmills removed from the facility and attempt to sell the TR-9100HR's on
consignment. The TR-9100HR is a 12 year old Life Fitness model. Currently, the model is outdated
and difficult at best to find parts; hence, they have no trade in value. $100 a piece was discussed but
Eric from Second Wind suggests he can get more out of them through consignment if we are not in a
rush to sell them. He will also stay in close contact on buyer bids. Second Wind receives 20% of the
sale and will take care of the transaction and pick up location once sold. The three machines will be
held at Second Wind in storage as they will continue to look for buyers.

Recommendation:

TO AUTHORIZE STAFF TO DISPOSE OF THE TREE TR-9100HR TREADMILLS THROUGH
CONSIG ENT WITH SECOND WIND.

atrice M.
