<br />RESOLUTION NO <br />06-022 <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A OLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT <br />OF NATURAL RESOURCES' LOCAL TRAIL CONNECTIONS GRANT. <br /> <br /> <br />the City of New Brighton is committed to improving the health of its residents, visitors, <br />and business community through parks, open spaces and trails; and <br /> <br />the City Council places on emphasis on community safety; and <br /> <br />the City Council adopted the Northwest Quadrant Framework Plan and the Northwest <br />Quadrant Design Guidelines which both support the importance of trail connections; <br />and <br /> <br />the City's Northwest Quadrant Redevelopment project creates the need to safely <br />integrate the new neighborhood with the existing trail system and Long Lake Regional <br />Park; and <br /> <br />the City Council supports the Northwest Quadrant Trail Connection Project and the <br />application for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources' Local Trail <br />Connections grant; and <br /> <br />the City has institutional, managerial and financial capability to ensure adequate <br />project administration; and <br /> <br />the City Council agrees to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and grant <br />requirements; <br /> <br />NO , TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of New Brighton to hereby <br />autho the City's application for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources' Local Trail <br />Conn tion Grant. <br /> <br /> <br />Adop d this 14th day of February, 2006. <br /> <br /> <br />~..-ttL :; O~- <br /> <br />Ma ew S.
