<br /> <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />ARBOR DAY <br />AND <br />ARBOR MONTH <br />IN THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton has been recognized by the National Arbor Day <br />Foundation as a Tree City USA, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, trees in our City beautifY our surroundings, shade our parks and residences, <br />increase property values and enhance the economic vitality of business areas, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, scouts and citizens will be planting trees April 22 at Hansen Park, as a part <br />of Earth Day festivities, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED, that I Steve Larson, Mayor of the City of <br />New Brighton, Minnesota do hereby proclaim April 22, 2006 as Arbor Day and Earth Day in the <br />City of New Brighton. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED that the month of May be "Arbor Month" and that <br />public-spirited and foresighted citizens be called upon to plant trees now for the enjoyment and <br />use of future generations. <br /> <br />Steve Larson, Mayor <br />
