<br />Staff felt ~t:the bid of $577,600.00 is a fair price, and recormnends awarding the
<br />bid to Midwest;f\sphalt.
<br />Conncll Member" a1.1Tg questioned whether there were any other reasons that
<br />Midwest Asphalt w~~tl1e best~hoice.
<br />Mr. Wyffels explainectthat1:>ecause of the settlement agreement we were obligated,
<br />provided the cost was acceptable.
<br />COlUlCil Member Doffmg stated the proximity of Midwest Asphalt also was
<br />advantageous.
<br />
<br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman, seconded by Council Member Burg to adopt a
<br />resolution accepting the bid from Midwest Asphalt and awarding a contract for City
<br />Project 06-1, Northwest Quadrant Phase I Stockpile Disposal in the amount of
<br />$577,600.
