<br />H <br /> <br />... <br /> <br />~ \' <br /> <br />.~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-080 <br /> <br />~. <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A MUL TI- <br />JURISDICTIONAL SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER TASK FORCE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, representatives from the cities of Fridley, New Brighton, <br />MoundsView and Spring Lake Park have been studying issues related to the <br />establishment of a regional senior center since February; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a preliminary staff report indicates that higher quality and more <br />diversified senior services may be achievable through a regional approach than <br />through the efforts of one city; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is important that senior citizens and other community interests <br />have an opportunity to evaluate a regional approach to establishing senior citizen <br />services. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />New Brighton supports the establishment of a regional senior citizens center task <br />force that will be charged with the responsibilities identified in Exhibit "A". <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of New Brighton <br />will appoint six members to represent the City of New Brighton on the twenty-one <br />member senior center task force. <br /> <br />BE IT STILL FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of New <br />Brighton authorizes the City Manager to work with members of the staff from the <br />other three communities in support of the work of the Senior Center Task Force. <br /> <br />, <br />,j <br /> <br />, Adopted by the City Council this 13th day of August, 1991. <br /> <br /> <br />~ <br />t .(lI.~. <br />David M.
