Nelson asked how long it will take for bonds to be paid off. Black answered that the districts are set up for 25 years and may require all of that time. Communications Black reported that the City is trying to finalize some dates and plans before a newsletter goes out. Harmon suggested that the newsletter could be a broader publication by promoting all of New Brighton and stating the City's vision for the community. Benke suggested that the City needs to make the community understand that this development will encompass the whole city not just one section. Business Council Black announced that the next Business Council meeting will be held on April 25 at 7:30 am. Harmon recommended that the new businesses in the area also be included. Nustad offered to assist in calling some of the businesses. Chamber of Commerce Report Nustad reported that the Chamber has been watching the I-35W and 1-694 updates; although they are not on the schedule to be fixed for another 20 years, there is some talk in the legislature that it might come up sooner. At its next meeting the Chamber will be doing a "State of the Schools" report. Updates Fulton announced that Grant Wyffels would be starting on April l2 as the new Director of Public Works. Black added that Les Proper would remain with the City until April 28 and that there will be a community party for him on April 26. Harmon inquired if the Parks and Recreation Director has been filled. Fulton reported that the City will be taking applications through April 14. Adjournment The meeting was adjourned at 8:32 a.m.
