Serving under <br />Minnesota Liquor Laws is one of our top priorities. We at Ken's Market know the <br />consequences of serving to minors. The intent of this policy is to layout guidelines for <br />the management and employees of our company for the sale of alcohol. <br /> <br />Defmitions: <br /> <br />Alcoholic Beverage: Any beverage containing more than one-half of one percent <br />alcohol by volume. <br /> <br />Package: A sealed or corked container of alcoholic beverage. <br /> <br />Retail: Sale for consumption. <br /> <br />Off-Sale: The sale of alcoholic beverages for consumption off of the licensed premises. <br /> <br />Policy 1: Check Age Identification- <br /> <br />This establishment will refuse to sell alcohol to any customer who does not have a valid <br />In showing he/she is 21 or older. Sellin/! alcohol to Deonle under 21 is ille/!al. The ID- <br />checking ~ include the following: <br /> <br />. Check the ID of anyone who looks under the age of 30. Follow the same <br />procedure when checking each identification; do not be distracted by conversation <br />with the customer. <br /> <br />. Check the birth date to see that the person is over 21. Check to see if the birth day <br />has been altered. <br /> <br />. Check the identification photo and the recorded height for resemblance with the <br />attempted buyer. Compare the hairline, eyebrows and chin shape on the photo- <br />these are the most difficult features to change. <br /> <br />. Check expiration date.
