""^- ":, <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-037 <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING AND COMMENDING ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST <br />SCHOOL ON RECEIVING THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION <br />AWARD AS A "DRUG-FREE" SCHOOL. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, St. John the Baptist School in New Brighton was <br />nominated for recognition as a "Drug-Free" School; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, St. John the Baptist School has demonstrated that <br />its goal for achieving a drug-free school encompasses all the <br />indicators of success; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a national review panel of approximately 60 <br />panelists made up of parents, teachers, law enforcement <br />officials, administrators, and community repreSentatives <br />recorrunended St. John the Baptist School to the Secretary of <br />Education as a recipient of this award; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, following additional screening, St. John the <br />Baptist School was named by the secretary of Education as one <br />of fifty-one schools in the United States to receive this <br />prestigious award. <br /> <br />" <br />;! <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />Ci ty of New Brighton to hereby corrunend St. John the Baptist <br />School for their outstanding drug abuse and drug resistance <br />programs resulting in a national award as a "Drug-Free" School. <br /> <br />~~ <br />~ (n.~ <br /> <br />Dav~d Childs, City Manager <br /> <br />A~TES'1'": <br /> <br /> <br />i ~ttA~ Egan <br /> <br />Finance Director/City Clerk <br />
