Report No. 05-131 <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Doffing seconded by Council Member Moore Sykes to <br />approve the consent agenda as presented. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Council Business <br />.. Consideration to approve revisions to the Family Service Center's management <br />.,:ru.cture. Report No. 05-132 <br /> <br />Director Steve Rymer offered some background information regarding the Family <br />Service Center's success over the past ten years and that personnel levels had <br />decreased. 15% over that time. Proposed changes to the management structure is <br />necessmy in order to continue assuring excellence in customer service, to continue <br />improvements in program offerings and marketing efforts, and in recognition of the <br />increased pressures on the facility due to the leasing of space to the Family <br />Academy Charter School. Mr. Rymer recommended the Following: <br />Create a full-time Birthday coordinator position. <br />Reclassify the Recreation Coordinator to Recreation Supervisor. <br /> <br />COlUlCil member Doffing indicated that even though this restructuring was coming <br />at a mid-year point in this City's fiscal calendar and is unusual in that regard, the <br />proposed benefit of the restructuring makes sense for the FSC and organization. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman, seconded by Council Member Burg to <br />luthorize creation of Full time Birthday Party Coordinator position, and <br />'eclassification of Recreation Coordinator position to Recreation Supervisor. <br /> <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried. <br /> <br /> <br />16.
