'" ""' ..., .. yoo <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton Oty Council was held <br />Monday, December 8, 2003, at 7:30 p.rn. in the municipal building, 803 Old Highway 8 NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Larson, Council members Moore-Sykes, and Sweeley. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Council Member Hoffman, and Council Member Doffing <br /> <br />Also Present: Patrick Boylan, City Planner <br />Matthew Fulton, City Manager <br />Charlie LeFevere, City Attorney <br />Dan Maiers, Director of Finance and Support Services <br />Les Proper, City Engineer <br />Jeanna Troha, Assistant City Manager <br />Kevin Locke, Community Development Director <br />Mayor Larson announced council business item # 10 has been removed from the agenda. <br />Council Agenda <br /> <br />I Motion by Kim Moore-Sykes, seconded by Ron Sweeley, to APPROVE COUNCIL AGENDA <br />WITHOUT ITEM NUMBER TEN FROM THE COUNCIL BUSINESS AGENDA AS <br />NOTED ABOVE. <br /> <br />3 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />1. Motion by Ron Sweeley, seconded by Kim Moore-Sykes, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES FROM NOVEMEBER 25.2003. <br />Motion by Ron Sweeley, seconded by Steve Larson, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE TRUTH AND TAXATION MEETING <br />DECEMBER 1, 2003. <br />2. <br /> <br />3 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Larson, with Council consent, received the minutes of Parks, Recreation, and <br />Environmental Commission, October 1, 2003. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business~ <br /> <br />I1.TO recognize this outstanding accomplishment and awarding the plaque to the City. of New <br />Brighton for their "National Award 2003 from the National Association of Town Watch" for 2nd <br />place in the Nation for National Night Out Activities. <br />2. To present the Lifesaving Award to Officer Heather Kuchinka, Sgt. Terry Nelson, Fire Captain <br />Scott Elwell.
