"",, 'r>. <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton Gty Council was held <br />Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Old Highway 8 NW. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Larson, Councilmembers Hoffman, Moore-Sykes, Howard, and Sweeley. <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />Also Present: Matthew Fulton, City Manager <br /> <br />Council Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Bruce Howard, seconded by Ann Hoffman, to APPROVE COUNCIL AGENDA. <br /> <br />5 Ayes. 0 Nays, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />I Motion by Ann Hoffman, seconded by Ron Sweeley, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes -None <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Motion by Kim Moore-Sykes, seconded by Ann Hoffman, ACCEPTING PROCLAMATION <br />RECOGNIZING VFW BUDDY POppy DAYS AS MAY 9TH. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Ann Hoffman, seconded by Ron Sweeley, to APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA <br />ITEMS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1. CONSOLIDATED VOUCHERS: 102251-102461 FOR A GRAND TOTAL OF <br />$ 551,200.55. <br />2. CONSIDERATION TO APPROVE THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY <br />OF NEW BRIGHTON AND MOUNDS VIEW INDEPENDENT SCHOOL <br />DISTRICT FOR FUNDING OF THE DARE PROGRAM FOR THE 2002-2003 <br />SCHOOL YEAR. <br />3. CONSIDERATION TO APPROVE QUOTATION FROM NORTH AMERICA <br />BULLET PROOF IN THE AMOUNT OF $ 35,100.00 FOR BULLET RESISTANT <br />PRODUCT FOR THE PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY. $ 17,550.00 OF THE COST <br />WILL BE PAID FOR BY CASWELL INTERN A TIONAL CORP. INC. AS A <br />SETTLEMENT OF THE CONTRACT DISPUTE. <br />4.
