<br />Page 3 - March 26, 2002, New Brighton Council Minutes <br /> <br />Council Business, continued <br /> <br />Isamuelson said it is very prudent on the City's part that the bids have come under budget. <br /> <br />Motion by Sweeley, seconded by Samuelson, to AWARD THE BIDS FOR THE PUBLIC <br />, SAFETY FACILITY BID PACKAGE B AS PRESENTED. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Public Safety Director Bob Jacobson presented for consideration the review and approval of <br />provisional license application and mitigation plan for Real Estates Equities/VilIage Green <br />(Polynesian Village). The mitigation plan discusses resident screening, resident conduct criteria, <br />physical property improvements, personnel decisions, police presence, and social service and <br />programming improvements. The mitigation plan continues to take steps at reducing police and <br />fire incidents at Polynesian Village. <br /> <br />Sweeley noted the work being performed by property manager, Marcy Wold, in developing a zero <br />tolerance program. <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Hoffman, to APPROVAL OF THE PROVISIONAL <br />LICENSE APPLICATION AND MITIGATION PLAN FOR REAL ESTATE <br />EQUITIESNILLAGE GREEN FOR THEIR PROPERTY A T POLYNESIAN VILLAGE, <br />120110TH ST. NW THRUOGH 1497 10TH ST. NW. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Iconsideration of review and app.roval of provisional license application and mitigation plan for <br />Lake Jones Apartments. Owner, Mir Ali, notified the City he had sold the property to David and <br />Pat Campbell. The Campbell's met with Jacobson to discuss the licensing process and submittal <br />of a mitigation plan. Jacobson reviewed the submitted mitigation plan and feels it will assist in <br />creating a healthy community at this site. Mr. Campbell explained they have owned many rental <br />properties for over 30 years and have the knowledge and ability to turn around difficult properties <br />into very livable communities. <br /> <br />Motion by Sweeley, seconded by Samuelson, to APPROVAL OF THE PROVISIONAL <br />LICENSE APPLICATION AND MITIGATION PLAN FOR LAKE JONES <br />APARTMENTS AT 219 OLD HWY SW THROUGH 221 OLD HWY 8 SW. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Consideration of an application for site plan review and special use permit to add three antennae to <br />an existing cellular tower. The antennae would be added to the existing 125 ft. high cellular tower <br />at the fanner Darling Rendering Plant site, which is now owned by the City. <br /> <br />Motion by Ifoffman, seconded by Sweeley, to WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT THE <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING SP02-001 AND LP02-002, SUBJECT TO THE <br />FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: <br />1. ISSUANCE OF A BUILDING PERMIT. <br />12. CONTINUED COMP.
