Mutual Aid Agreements. <br /> <br />(1) The Director shaH develop proposed mutual aid agreements with other political subdivisions <br />within or outside the State for reciprocal civil defuRse aid and assistance in a eiyil defensc <br />emergency bevond the capacity of local emerl!encv responders. Such arrangements shall be <br />consistent with the State eivil defeNse emerl!encv management plan. These agreements shan be <br />subject to approval by the City Council. <br /> <br />(2) It shall be the duty of the Ci';il Defense AgeRe)' aAd eivil dcf.eRse forces Department of Public <br />Safety to render assistance in accordance with the provisions of the mutual aid arrangements <br />during an civil dcf-cnse emergency. The Director of Public Safety. or desil!nee. is authorized to <br />dispatch mutual aid assistance as necessary when the suddenness of the event would make it <br />impractical for Council review of the request. Any mutual aid arrangement with a political <br />subdivision of another State shall be subject to the approval of the Governor. (Ord.
