<br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />... <br />I "'my~ <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held <br />Tuesday, May 8, 2001, at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Old Highway 8 NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Larson, Councilmembers Moore-Sykes, Samuelson, and Sweeley. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Hoffman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Matthew Fulton, City Manager <br />Charlie LeFevere, City Attorney <br />Les Proper, City Engineer <br />Steve Rymer, Park and Recreation Director <br />Rick Wriskey, City Forester <br /> <br />Mayor Larson introduced new Assistant to the City Manager, Jeanna Troha. <br /> <br />Council Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Moore-Sykes, to APPROVE COUNCIL AGENDA. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Moore-Sykes, seconded by Samuelson, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE APRIL.24, 2001, COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes - None <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Council recognized the following retiring firefighters: Burton Emerson, Jr. - 23 years of <br />service, Mike Smith - 10 years of service, and Cindy Spears - 8 years of service. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Moore-Sykes, seconded by Samuelson, to APPROVE CONSENT AGENDA <br />ITEMS AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.
