""" f&". <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held <br />Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Old Highway 8 NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Larson, Councilmembers Gunderman, Hoffman, Moore-Sykes, and Samuelson. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Matthew Fulton, City Manager <br /> <br />Council Al!enda <br /> <br />Council Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Moore-Sykes, to APPROVE COUNCIL AGENDA. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Motion by Hoffman, seconded by Samuelson, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE MARCH 27, 2001, COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Larson, with Council consent, received the minutes of the Parks, Recreation and <br />Environmental Commission - February 7 and March 7, 2001. <br /> <br />Special Ordcr of <br />Business <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Larson, with deep regret, announced the resignation of Council member Gunderman due to <br />health concerns. Gunderman dedicated a good portion of his life serving New Brighton <br />and its citizens, and had been closely involvcd in leading our city, park system, and <br />schools to nationally recognized success. <br /> <br />Gunderman <br />Resignation <br /> <br />Samuelson will miss Gunderman greatly and thanked him for his mcntoring and <br />friendship. <br /> <br />Hoffman acknowledged Gunderman's wisdom, compassion, and dedication to our <br />community. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Moore-Sykes sincerely thanked Gunderman and holds him in deep regard. <br /> <br />Fulton thanked Gunderman for his strong support of City staff, friendship, leadership, and <br />sense of humor. <br /> <br />Larson will greatly miss Gunderman, and thanked his family's support. <br />
