Examples of customer charges include water bills, <br />building permits, fSC rcntals, greens fee, liquor license, and recrcation registrations. A <br />total of $7,161,000 in revenues from customer charges is budgeted for 2001. <br /> <br />To fully implement the 2001 Fee Register, ordinance changes and hearings are required <br />for the following areas: ordinance change pending for fire and occupancy permits, <br />ordinance changc pending for multi-family licenses, and hearing pending for liquor <br />licenses. All of these public hearings will be held in January 2001. <br /> <br />Motion by Hoffman, seconded by Samuelson, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 2001 FEE REGISTER. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Egan presented the 2001 Pay Plan and other benefits for non-union personnel. The City's <br />plan equates top pay to the metropolitan mean for comparable positions. The City's pay <br />for 2001 is based on 3% cost of living increase in employee wages. For health insurance, <br />the City has modified its insurance plan to provide a cafeteria plan. <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Moore-Sykes, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE RESOLUTION ADJUSTING COMPENSATION AND OTHER <br />BENEFITS FOR NON-UNION PERSONNEL. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Egan presented the certification of delinquencies for 2000. Annually, delinquent charges <br />for water, sewer and stormwater utility services are certified for collection with property <br />taxes. Through certification, the City is assured of payment for these services. The <br />certified amount must be paid with the 2001 property taxes. The certified amount <br />includes a 8% interest charge as the City will not receive settlement until December 2001. <br /> <br />Utility customers have been advised ofthe certification. The total certification amount for <br />200 J is $94, I 00. Larson noted that in 1999 that total amount was $59,300.
