<br />1 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />December 11, 2000 <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />Council Business. continued <br /> <br />Community Development Director Kevin Locke presented a resolution of denial for the <br />minor subdivision and lot width variance request by Orville and Evelyn Holmbo to divide <br />an existing lot at 1654 Valerie Lane into two lots. On November 28, 2000, Council <br />concluded a variancc would not be appropriate due to the following: lot width <br />inconsistent with character of the neighborhood, undue hardship not found, reasonable use <br />of the property would not be denied, and no sewer or water stub connection or no <br />assessments were paid for a future lot. <br /> <br />Motion by Hoffman, seconded by Gunderman, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE RESOLUTION DENYING VNOO-8 AND PLOO-8. <br /> <br />5 Aycs - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Proper presented the quotes for the 141h Street N W Pond Dredging Project 99-10. This <br />project was in itiated by petition of nine residents abutting the pond. Council received the <br />petition and approved a $25,000.00 budget for the project. The excavation of ponds to <br />increase watcr holding capacity is beneficial in improvement surface water quality. <br /> <br />At a request by one resident, Maurice Wo1t~ an optional bid for additional dredging on the <br />west end of the pond was included in the quote. Wolfwould arrange to pay the contractor <br />directly for this work. Eight bids werc received with the low bid from Frattalone <br />Excavating at an amount of $26,768.00 for the base bid and $6,680.00 for the optional <br />bid. Wolf would contribute $4,500.00 toward the optional work. <br /> <br />Motion by, scconded by, to APPROVE THE QUOTE FROM FRATTALONE <br />EXCAVATING IN THE AMOUNT OF $26,768.00 FOR THE 14TH ST.
