<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, September 26,2000, <br />2000, at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Old Highway 8 NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Larson, Councilmembers Gunderman, Hoffman, Moore-Sykes, and Samuelson. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Matthew Fulton, City Manager <br />Cary Teague, City Planner <br /> <br />Council Al!enda <br /> <br />Motion by Hoffman, seconded by Samuelson, to APPROVE THE COUNCIL AGENDA. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Hoffman, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE SEPTEMBER 11,2000, COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Larson, with Council consent, received the minutes ofthe Planning Commission - <br />August 15, 2000. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Joseph Strauss, North Metro Mayor Association, said the Association has had a very <br />successful year, and noted several tenure legislators in the northern metropolitan area will <br />not seek reelection this year. Strauss noted the importance of working closely with the <br />newly elccted legislators to ensure the North Metro receives the needed funding for <br />services and projects. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Samuelson, to ACCEPT THE $3,500.00 <br />DONATION FROM THE NEW BRIGHTON-MOUNDS VIEW AREA CHAMBER <br />OF COMMERCE TO BE USED TO SUPPORT YOUTH GOLF PROGRAMS AND <br />SUPPLIES AND BRIGHTWOOD HILLS GOLF COURSE. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Agenda <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Special Order of <br />Business <br /> <br />North Mctro Mayors <br />Assn. <br /> <br />Chamber Donation <br />Report 00-215 <br />
