<br />" <br /> <br />,. - "", <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. _89-97 <br /> <br />CITY OF Nh'W BRIGHTON <br />COUN'I"Y OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION FOH. ANTIQUE CAR RUN, INC.; SPONSORS OF ANNUAL <br />NEW LONDON TO NEW BRIGHTON ANTIQUE CAR RUN. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Antique Car Run is annual civic celebration <br />designed to promote New Brighton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the use of the city parks, and city property to <br />sponsor concerts, dances, concession stands, and other <br />recreational activities that are for the benefit of the <br />public are permitted in conjunction with the celebration. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br /> <br />1. The Antique Car Run celebration may run for a <br />period not to exceed seven (7) consecutive days; <br />2. The Antique Car Run must submit, to the City at <br />least thirty (30) days prior to such event a list <br />of each activity, its location, time, and date; and <br />a list of all equipment, public utili ties, staff <br />time, and public safety assistance that is <br />requested from the City; <br />3. The Antique Car Run, Inc. must submit liability <br />insurance co-insuring the City of New Brighton ~n <br />the amount of $1,000,000 or the limitations of <br />liability provided by Minnesota Statute Chapter <br />466, whichever is greater; <br />4. Any and all ac:.itivi"ties that include the service of <br />food/beverages to the public will be permitted with <br />approval of the City Sanitarian; <br />5 . Banners and' temporary signs advertising the civic <br />celebration are permitted, provided such signs do <br />not cause a safety hazard and permission is <br />obtained from property owners to locate such signs <br />on private property. Five (5) such temporary <br />ground signs, not to exceed ninety-six (96) square <br />feet each will be allowed within the city. Banners <br />and temporary signs may be erected no earlier than <br />thirty (30) days prior to the beginning of the <br />celebration and must be removed prior to seven (7) <br />days following the last day of the event; <br />6. Upon approval by the City Council all permits and <br />fees shall be waived for participants. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager shall have <br />the authority to allocate the time and assistance of city <br />personnel and provide access to city equipment for such <br />events to the degree the City Manager feels it 15 <br />appropriate and necessary to insure public safety. <br /> <br />Adopted this 25th <br /> <br />day of <br /> <br />1111 Y <br /> <br />, 1989. <br /> <br />_~~L <br />Robert J. n e, Mayor <br />(\ <br />_J~ rn.
