<br />Se 8-42. Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />(1 he Director shan participate in the creation, review, and maintenance of an Emergency <br />o ations Plan (EOP) for the City of New Brighton. The City may, at its discretion, adopt <br />or incorporate the Ramsey County Emergency Operations Plan as the City of New Brighton's <br /> <br /> <br />he Director shall coordinate the emergency management activities of the City and it shall be <br />liant with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and any other emergency <br />agement plans of the Federal Government, the State, and other appropriate political <br />ivisions within the State. <br />(0 . Training and Informational Programs. <br /> <br />In cordance with emergency operation plans for the Nation, State and City, the Director shall <br />ins ute training and public information programs and shall take all other preparatory steps as <br />m be necessary for the prompt and effective operation of the City's emergency operation plan <br />10 e of an emergency. Utilization of City Resources. <br /> <br />Director shall utilize the personnel, services, equipment, supplies, and facilities of existing <br />ents and agencies of the City to the maximum extent practicable. The officers and <br />nnel of all departments and agencies shall cooperate with and extend such services and <br />ities upon request to the maximum extent practicable. In cooperation with and under the <br />tion of the Director, each department shall be responsible for the planning and programming <br />ergency management activities that will involve the utilization ofthe facilities of their <br />rtment or agency. Emergency Personnel. <br /> <br />In operation with the affected City departments and agencies, the Director shall organize, <br />rec it, and train Police Reserve Officers, Volunteers in Public Safety, Community Emergency <br />Re onse Teams, Police Explorers, emergency medical personnel, and any other personnel that <br />be required on a volunteer basis to carry out the emergency operation plans of the City and <br />tate. To the extent that the emergency personnel are recruited to augment a regular City <br />ent or agency for emergencies, the personnel shall be assigned to the department or <br />cy for purposes of administration and command. The Director may dismiss any volunteer at <br />ime and require the volunteer to surrender equipment and identification furnished by the <br />(Ord.
