One ofthe many benefits of a joint
program is the City's ability to generate additional revenue needed to support a full time
aquatics supervisor. Additional benefits for both communities include shared training
expenses, resource materials, joint marketing, use of substitute lifeguards, and water
safety instructors at both sites. District #282 would have opportunity to offer a greater
selection of classes, times, and locations.

Pat Tuma, Program Supervisor, added that a full time aquatics supervisor will provide the
continuity needed to supervise the program. Another benefit is that both swimming pools
are located along Silver Lk. Rd. a few miles apart.

Consent Agenda

Chamber Liquor
License
Report OO~ 184

Council Meeting
Report 00-185

Public Hearing

Special Permit to move
garage - 236 Cleveland
Ave.
Report 00-187
Resolution 00-072

Council Business

Merged Aquatics
Program
Report 00-1 89
