<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />January 11,2000 <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Special Order of Business, continued <br /> <br />Fulton explained that Council makes appointments to various public agencies which <br />involve appointing a delegate and an alternate to represent the City at special meetings. <br /> <br />Motion by Gundennan, seconded by Larson, to WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT <br />THE RESOLUTION APPOINTING ARLY GUNDERMAN AS DELEGATE AND <br />STEVE LARSON AS ALTERNATE TO THE LEAGUE OF MINNESOTA CITIES <br />FOR 2000; APPOINT CHAR SAMUELSON AS DELEGATE AND ANN HOFFMAN <br />AS ALTERNATE TO THE ASSOCIATION OF METROPOLITAN <br />MUNICIPALITIES FOR 2000; APPOINT CHAR SAMUELSON AS DELEGATE <br />AND KIM MOORE-SYKES AS AL TERNA TE TO THE RAMSEY COUNTY <br />LEAGUE OF LOCAL GOVERNMENTS FOR 2000; APPOINT ANN HOFFMAN <br />AS DELEGATE AND MAURIE ANDERSON AS ALTERNATE TO THE <br />NORTHWEST YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES FOR 2000; APPOINT ARL Y <br />GUNDERMAN AS DELEGATE AND KIM MOORE-SYKES AS ALTERNATE TO <br />THE NORTH SUBURBAN CABLE COMMISSION FOR 2000; APPOINT KIM <br />MOORE-SYKES AS DELEGATE AND JUDY GOEPEL AS ALTERNATE TO THE <br />HEALTHY YOUTH COALITION FOR 2000; AND APPOINT MATTHEW <br />FULTON AS DELEGATE TO THE SUBURBAN RATE AUTHORITY FOR 2000. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried, <br /> <br />Mayor Larson PROCLAIMED THE WEEK OF JANUARY 30-FEBRUARY 4,2000, <br />AS ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK IN THE CITY OF <br />NEW BRIGHTON. <br /> <br />Fulton noted the long term contributions former Mayor Robert Benke and his wife have <br />made to the City. Fulton read the proclamation which noted Benke's many <br />accomplishments over the past 21 years he has served on the Council. These proclamations <br />will be presented at a January 20th reception held in Benke's honor at the Family Service <br />Center from 4:00-8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Larson PROCLAIMED THURSDAY, JANUARY 20, 2000, AS BOB AND <br />JUDY BENKE DAY IN THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON. <br /> <br />Ron Sweeney, 1071 Highview Dr., thanked the past and present Councils on how they have <br />made New Brighton a prideful City for the community to enjoy.
