<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at <br />7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Old Highway 8 NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, Councilmembers Gunderman, Hoffman, Larson, and Samuelson. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Su Arntz, Assistant to the City Manager <br />Jill Bishop, Economic Development Specialist <br />Joan Kelly, Councilmember of the Month <br />Charlie LeFevere, City Attorney <br />Brian Olson, Civil Engineer II <br />Les Proper, City Engineer <br />Cary Teague, City Planner <br /> <br />Council A~enda <br /> <br />Larson added a Special Order of Business item. <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Hoffman, to APPROVE THE AMENDED <br />COUNCIL AGENDA. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Larson, seconded by Samuelson, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE MARCH 23, 1999, COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes - None <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Assistant to the City Manager Susan Arntz announced that the City has received a <br />donation from the New Brighton/Mounds View Rotary Club to be used for the production <br />of a Police Reserve recruitment poster. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Hoffman, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A $200 DONATION FROM THE NEW <br />BRIGHTON/MOUNDS VIEW ROTARY CLUB TO BE USED FOR THE NEW <br />BRIGHTON POLICE RESERVES PROGRAM. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />CQuncil Agenda <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Special Order of <br />Business <br /> <br />Rotary Donation <br />Report 99-074 <br />Resolution 99-027 <br /> <br />Hoffman read a proclamation from the 1-35 North Metro Coalition acknowledging Mayor Benke Proclamation <br />Benke's years of service and involvement with the Coalition. Benke thanked Council <br />and the Coalition for this recognition. <br />
