<br />We, the residents of the City of New Brighton, are not of the belief that a gas station and
<br />car wash should be granted permission to build on this site. Preferable to this would be a
<br />manufacturing facility. The volume of noise generated by a facility that includes a car
<br />wash greatly impacts the quality of life in our neighborhood.
<br />
<br />Should the gas station/car wash facility be granted permission to build, we strongly urge
<br />that the operating hours be not longer than 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. Additionally, the city
<br />must enforce parking restrictions on BOTH sides of County E2. This due to the
<br />hazardous nature of vehicle parking-particularly involving semi-tractor/trailers (and for
<br />extended periods of time) as well as the resultant increased air pollution. These vehicles
<br />are typically left running and unattended during peak traffic periods and pose great
<br />potential harm to both residents and individuals traveling E2 to their employment
<br />locations.

<br />The City of New Brighton has a long tradition of acting on the concerns of its citizens.
<br />We trust the City Council will uphold this tradition by seeing the validity of our concerns
<br />and continuing to promote a safe and pleasurable city in which to live, work and raise our
