PROGRAM. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Mayor Benke PROCLAIMED THE WEEK OF APRIL 13-19,1997, AS <br />VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION WEEK IN THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Larson, to APPROVE THE CONSENT <br />AGENDA ITEMS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />CONSOLIDATED VOUCHERS: 073212-073415 FOR A GRAND TOTAL <br />OF $132,086.50. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL TO WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FINANCING FOR WORK <br />DONE ON THE SILVER LAKE ROAD PROJECT 91-01. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL TO WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE RESOLUTION FOR REAPPORTIONMENT OF <br />ASSESSMENTS. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL TO WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A <br />PURCHASE AGREEMENT (lNDYKIEWICZ AND BRIGHTON <br />EXCAVATING PROPERTY). <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Public Hearing - Project 97-1, Street Reconstruction <br /> <br />City Engineer Les Proper presented the feasibility study for Project 97-1. This project <br />includes a large area of streets including portions of: 15th, 18th, 19th, 20th, and 21st <br />Avenues; and 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th Streets; 16th and 19th Terraces; Fredeen <br />Rd.; Greenview Dr.; and Pike Lk. Ct. Reconstruction is needed because of the streets' <br />age and poor condition. Road width will remain at 32 ft., and will be installed close to <br />existing grades. Concrete curb and gutter will be replaced if broken or settled. <br /> <br />There is a need to extend an existing 15 inch storm sewer with a 12-inch storm sewer <br />where it discharges into Long Lk., west on 18th St. and 15th Ave. The existing storm <br />sewer on 20th Ave. from Greenview Dr. to 18th St. will be extended with an 18-inch <br />storm sewer. The storm sewer west of 16th St. to 19th Ave. will be extended. Repairs <br />will be made to the sanitary sewer on Pike Lk. Ct., and the service at 1320 Pike Lk. Ct. <br />will be relayed.
