Parks, Recreation, and Environmental Commission <br /> <br /> <br />ouneil Member Sharon Doffing - Planning Commission <br /> <br />Council Member Gina Bauman - Economic Development Commission <br /> <br />Council Member Bauman attending the Economic Development Commission <br />June 13th, and reported the following: <br />. Beiswengers former building is demolished <br />. Staubach Companies is interested in Office Space, including a credit union <br />and the headquarters for the Teamsters Union. <br />. The "In the Neighborhood" newsletter generated positive interest from <br />residents, resulting in twenty phone calls for housing information. <br /> <br />Mayor Larson <br />. Mayor Larson attending a tree-planting and bench dedication at Pike Lake <br />school !Freedom Park in memory of Ron Sweely June 5th. <br />. At the work session prior to the council meeting the Council was able to <br />decide on 3 choices of executive search firms to interview for the recruitment <br />of the City Manager position. The process could take up to 5 months reported <br />the Mayor. <br />. Mayor Larson suggested tearing down the former "Harry's Bar" and <br />replacing the site with a park. <br />. Mayor Larson will be attending the National League of Cities Public Safety <br />Crime Prevention steering committee in Florida, where border issues will be <br />discussed. <br />. The Mayor addressed concerns by the New Brighton Bulletin relating to <br />previous closed work sessions discussing City Managers performance.
