<br />-I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />December 18, 1996 <br /> <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />Council Business. continued <br /> <br />Gunderman asked if the percentage of certifications could be reduced further if the City <br />allowed the use of credit cards to pay utility charges. Egan said that in order to allow <br />credit card usage, the City would need to pay a fee to the credit card provider. <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Williams, to WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT <br />THE RESOLUTION CERTIFYING DELINQUENCIES PAYABLE IN 1997. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Economic Development Specialist Jill Hanson presented an update on the Ramsey County <br />Brownfield proposal. When the program was discussed at the December 11 Council <br />Meeting, it was felt that Council needed more information before committing to the project. <br /> <br />The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners recently voted to create a special taxing <br />district for the Brownfield proposal, but installed a zero levy for that taxing district. This <br />action allows the new commissioners to review the issue and continue communications with <br />the involved suburban communities.
