The process would define possible land uses for five critical sites. Property Hwy 8 Corridor <br />and business owners along the corridor have been invited to two public informational <br />meetings. These meetings will discuss the project's purpose, scope, process, <br />opportunities, and involve a bus tour of the area. These sessions will be interactive, and <br />development of a collective vision is the ultimate goal. The consultants will gather <br />information, capsulize, and then present ideas and recommendations. The project should <br />be completed by March 1997. Specific sites will be focused upon so to allow for <br />possible early release from the moratorium. <br /> <br />Commitments have been reached for three of four ice sheets proposed at the Blaine Ice Sheet Proposal <br />Sports Center for the Regional Ice Hockey Proposal. The Minnesota Amateur Sports <br />Commission will underwrite the fourth sheet.
