<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />July 9, 1996 <br /> <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />Council Business. continued <br /> <br />Pursuant to the Councilmember of the Month program, representatives from the City's <br />Advisory Commissions were placed for appointment to upcoming terms. <br /> <br />Motion by, seconded by, to APPOINT MARRITTA GOULD OF PUBLIC POLICY <br />COMMISSION AS AUGUST COUNCILMEMBER OF THE MONTH; ANN <br />HOFFMAN OF PUBLIC SAFETY COMMISSION AS SEPTEMBER <br />COUNCILMEMBER OF THE MONTH; AND nLL PETERSON-TEETZEL OF <br />CABLE ADVISORY COMMISSION AS OCTOBER COUNCILMEMBER OF <br />THE MONTH. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Because of the 1996 Primary Election which will be held on Tuesday, September 10, the <br />first regular CouncHmember in September will need to be rescheduled to another date. <br /> <br />Motion by Larson, seconded by Samuelson, to SCHEDULE SEPTEMBER 9, 1996, <br />AS THE FIRST REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING IN SEPTEMBER 1996. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Fulton said Council will consider the maximum tax levy on September 9. <br /> <br />Announcement.;; and IIpdates <br /> <br />The 35W Corridor Coalition will meet July 11. <br /> <br />The Association of Minnesota Municipalities will meet July 10. <br /> <br />The League of Minnesota Cities has scheduled a focus group discussion regarding the <br />Metropolitan Council Metro Area growth projections on July 10. <br /> <br />Benke said the LMC is requesting contributions toward a fund to research the issue of <br />Public Rights-of-Way in regards to litigation against the City of Redwood Falls. New <br />Brighton's fee would be $1,169.
