Motion by, seconded by, to APPOINT MARRITTA GOULD OF PUBLIC POLICY COMMISSION AS AUGUST COUNCILMEMBER OF THE MONTH; ANN HOFFMAN OF PUBLIC SAFETY COMMISSION AS SEPTEMBER COUNCILMEMBER OF THE MONTH; AND nLL PETERSON-TEETZEL OF CABLE ADVISORY COMMISSION AS OCTOBER COUNCILMEMBER OF THE MONTH. 5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. Because of the 1996 Primary Election which will be held on Tuesday, September 10, the first regular CouncHmember in September will need to be rescheduled to another date. Motion by Larson, seconded by Samuelson, to SCHEDULE SEPTEMBER 9, 1996, AS THE FIRST REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING IN SEPTEMBER 1996. 5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. Fulton said Council will consider the maximum tax levy on September 9. Announcement.;; and IIpdates The 35W Corridor Coalition will meet July 11. The Association of Minnesota Municipalities will meet July 10. The League of Minnesota Cities has scheduled a focus group discussion regarding the Metropolitan Council Metro Area growth projections on July 10. Benke said the LMC is requesting contributions toward a fund to research the issue of Public Rights-of-Way in regards to litigation against the City of Redwood Falls. New Brighton's fee would be $1,169. Fulton will present this for consideration on July 23.
