<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, May 14, 1996, at 7:30 <br />p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Fifth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, Councilmembers Gunderman, Larson, Samuelson and Williams. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Maurie Anderson, Park and Recreation Oirector <br />Matthew Fulton, City Manager <br />Charlie LeFevere, City Attorney <br />Kevin Locke, Community Development Director <br />Erny Mattila, City Planner <br /> <br />Benke welcomed Councilmember of the Month, David Eichers and thanked him tor his <br />participation. Eichers feels honored to be appointed to this position. <br /> <br />Council A~enda <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Larson, to APPROVE COUNCIL AGENDA. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Samuelson, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE APRIL 23, 1996, COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, with Council consent, received the minutes of the Cable Advisory <br />Commission - March 28, 1996. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Tri-City Legion Commander Larry Schwalbe and Mark Moe presented a $10,000 <br />donation to the Police and Fire Departments to be used for equipment purchases. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Larson, to WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT <br />THE RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE $10,000 FROM TRI CITY LEGION. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Consent A~enda <br /> <br />Gunderman requested Report 96-096, CW Marketing Peddler's permit, moved to the <br />Council Business Agenda. <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Williams, to APPROVE THE AMENDED <br />CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Councilmember of the <br />Month <br /> <br />Council A~enda <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Special Order of <br />Business <br /> <br />Tri City Donation <br />Resolution 96-028 <br /> <br />Consent A~enda <br />
