<br />Page 2 - July 11, 2006 New Brighton Council Minutes <br />on May 11, 2006, when Mr. Wendell Mogren; while shopping in the Cub Foods <br />Store located at 2600 Rice Creek Rd. suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. Mr. Patrick <br />farling, an employee of Cub Foods activated the 911 system and administered <br />PR. Very soon after, Deputy Director Dan Olson, Officers Matt DeBoer, Amy <br />ustiak and Matt Voeller anived at the scene. Mr. Mogren still did not have a <br />ulse, nor was he breathing. CPR was continued and an AED was administered, <br />within about 3 minutes, Mr. Mogren was able to breathe unassisted. Allina <br />Medical personnel; Sara Wahto and Joe Johnson arrived and transported Mr. <br />Mogren to Unity Hospital. <br />Deputy Director John Ellickson and Mayor Larson distributed the Life Saving <br />Award to the recipients. <br />Dr. Charlie Lick, representing Allina Medical, gave an update on the system of care. <br />Director Jacobson introduced Wendell and Carol Mogren. <br />Mr. Mogren expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all who were involved in his rescue. <br /> <br />2. Report No. 06-152 <br /> <br />The Acting City Manager, Jeanna Troha explained that the position held by <br />Council Member Doffing on the Northwest Youth and Family SeIVices Board of <br />Directors was vacated as a result of her resignation.
