<br />II <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />': <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />86-104 <br /> <br />,j <br />i) <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR RAMSEY COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />BLOCK GRANT FUNDS AND INDICATING WILLINGNESS TO CREATE A TAX INCREMENT <br />FINANCING DISTRICT IN SUPPORT OF THE APPLICATION. <br /> <br />IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council (the "Council") of the City <br />i i of New Br I ghton, Minnesota (the "C i ty"), as fo 11 ows : <br /> <br />~ i <br /> <br />I. Recitals <br /> <br />! ~ <br /> <br />" <br />" <br /> <br />a. The City of New Brighton desires to provide assistance in <br />meeting the housing needs of its community through <br />redevelopment of a certain property within its downtown <br />development district and; <br /> <br />b. Redevelopment of this area is consistent with the City's <br />Comprehensive Plan, Downtown Development Plan and Old <br />Highway 8 Corridor Plan and; <br /> <br />c. Development of a housing project in downtown New Brighton will <br />benefit low and moderate income persons. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Approval <br /> <br />': <br /> <br />The Council hereby authorizes the City Officials to make <br />application to Ramsey County for Community Development Block Grant <br />funds for assistance with the downtown housing project on the site <br />in question and indicates the City's intent to create a Tax <br />Increment Financing District to provide further funds to implement <br />redevelopmentof this site should the City grant application be <br />approved and funded. <br /> <br />Adopted this 14th day of October, 1986. <br />Ii <br /> <br />/&.~ <br /> <br />Robert J.
