Locke said additional testing will <br />be performed, but there appears to be no reason to believe there is a problem. Locke <br />said in this case, the City is buying the property for redevelopment purposes and as is <br />being perfectly acceptable. Locke confrrmed there have been no discussions with the <br />adjacent property owner. <br /> <br />Williams asked if Locke feels the $2.40/s.f. negotiation price is appropriate. Locke is <br />confident of the purchase price. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Larson, to APPROVE THE PURCHASE <br />AGREEMENT FOR 721 OLD HIGHWAY 8 AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR <br />AND CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Fulton presented the 1996 pay plan adjustment for non-union personnel. <br /> <br />The 1996 pay plan is based on a 2.5 % cost of living wage increase. This amount is <br />consistent with the Police Sergeant and Public Works union contracts, and in line with <br />the Stanton Survey. For health insurance, the City's maximum contribution for family <br />coverage would increase $20/month to $350/month.
