<br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, September 12, 1995, <br />at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Fifth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, Councilmembers Gunderman, Larson, Samuelson and Williams (arrived 7:52 p.m.) <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />Also Present: Margaret Egan, Finance Director <br />Matthew Fulton, City Manager <br />Erny Mattila, City Planner <br /> <br />Council Agenda <br /> <br />Gunderman requested the Eagles donation be added to the Special Order of Business. <br /> <br />Motion by Larson, seconded by Samuelson, to APPROVE THE AMENDED <br />COUNCIL AGENDA. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Samuelson, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE AUGUST 22, 1995, COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES. <br /> <br />I 4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, with Council consent, received the minutes of the Park, Recreation, <br />and Natural Resources Commission - August 2, 1995. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Council congratulated the members of the Little Lakes Little League West All~Star <br />Team for their outstanding performance in the Little League World Series. <br /> <br />The team presented the City with an autographed baseball. Doug McFarland thanked <br />the City for their support and the use of Totem Pole Park. <br /> <br />Benke PROCLAIMED SEPTEMBER 16, 1995, AS LITTLE LAKES LITTLE <br />LEAGUE WEST ALL-STARS DAY IN THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Donald Hickerson, Eagles, presented a $10,000 check to be used toward the Eagles <br />Nest Indoor Playground at the Family Service Center. The Eagles feels it is a <br />privilege and honor to present this donation to the City.
