<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, June 12, 1995, at <br />7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Fifth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, Councilmembers Gunderman, Larson, Samuelson and Williams. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Matthew Fulton, City Manager <br />Barbara Jeanetta, Assistant to the City Manager <br />Erny Mattila, City Planner <br />Les Proper, City Engineer <br /> <br />Council Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Samuelson, to APPROVE THE COUNCIL <br />AGENDA. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Williams, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE MAY 23, 1995, COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, with Council consent, received the minutes of the Public Policy <br />Commission - April 26, 1995. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Larson, to WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT <br />THE RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A $250.00 DONATION FROM THE <br />WESTERN BANK WHICH WILL BE USED TO PURCHASE PLAYGROUND <br />EQUIPMENT AT THE FAMILY SERVICE CENTER. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Williams, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A $400.00 DONATION FROM THE <br />ADAGIOS II SOFTBALL TEAM WHICH WILL BE USED TOWARD THE <br />PURCHASE OF A WATER DRINKING FOUNTAIN AT FREEDOM PARK. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Agenda <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Special Order of <br />Business <br /> <br />Western Bank <br />Donation <br />Report 95-090 <br />Resolution 95-043 <br /> <br />Adagios Softball Team <br />Donation <br />Report 95-091 <br />Resolution 95~042 <br /> <br />State Senator Steve Novak presented a 1995 Legislative summary. Rep. Simoneau of Senator Novak <br />Fridley has been appointed to Deputy Commissioner of Employee Relations, and the <br />Governor will need to determine the date for a special election to fill his seat. <br />
