The windshield survey will continue on a staff level. <br />2. The City information file will be easy to develop and administer. <br />3. The infrastructure issue is dealt with on a regular basis. <br />4. The Housing Committee is an important issue and will be further discussed. <br />5. The point-of-sale inspection will need to be reviewed. <br />6. The semi-annual inspection program appears to be a continuation of current <br />practices with possible enhancements. <br /> <br />Benke asked if there have been any difficulties associated with apartment owners or <br />managers. Locke said that usually the apartment managers are very responsive. <br />Locke added that the comments in the report relating to rental properties are things a <br />Housing Committee may want to consider. <br /> <br />Williams noted a recent public hearing regarding manufactured housing that was <br />held at City Hall. Zisla said that two task force members are mobile home park <br />residents. Benke attended the public hearing and the agenda focused on emergency <br />shelters and evacuation plans for mobile home park residents. Benke added that the <br />mobile home parks located in New Brighton have emergency facilities. Another <br />issue discussed at the hearing was the upgrading and maintenance of the mobile <br />home parks. <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Williams, to ACCEPT THE HOUSING <br />STUDY AND DIRECT STAFF TO PREPARE A PROGRAM FOR <br />IMPLEMENTING THE STUDY RECOMMENDATIONS; AND APPROVE <br />THE INVOLVEMENT OF HOUSING TASK FORCE CO-CHAIRS LOIS ANN <br />HELGESON AND PAUL ZISLA. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Announcements and Updates <br /> <br />Gunderman acknowledged concern relating to door-to-door soliciting and peddling <br />within the City; and requested staff to review the licensing fee structure for those <br />activities.
