CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL TO ACCEPT THE <br />RESIGNATIONS OF STAN SMITII AND HARLYN ANDERSON <br />FROM THE cmZEN STUDY COMMISSION AND TO THANK <br />THEM FOR THEIR EFFORTS AS VERY PRODUCTIVE MEMBERS <br />OF THE COMMISSION. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL TO DESIGNATE LILLIE <br />NEWSPAPERS (BULLETIN) AS THE LEGAL NEWSPAPER OF THE <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON IN 1994. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL TO WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 1994 FEES FOR LEGAL <br />SERVICFS. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT AND <br />RELEASE CONCERNING THE BROST PROPERTY <br />CONDEMNATION. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Public Hearinl: - None <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Dee Lere, Citizen Study Committee (CSC), said the CSC has begun planning for the <br />17th Annual Town Hall meeting. This year's theme and program will focus on our <br />Community Revitalization/Reinvestment Efforts. Public and private economic <br />development efforts and crime prevention will be discussed. The recommended date <br />for the meeting is Saturday, March 19; April 9, will be used as a backup date. <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Larson, to SCHEDULE THE 17m ANNUAL <br />TOWN HALL MEETING DATE OF SATURDAY, MARCH 19,1994; AND <br />USE SATURDAY, APRIL 9,1994, AS THE BACKUP DATE. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Kevin Locke presented an application requesting <br />a variance from parking lot setback requirements. <br /> <br />Industrial Equities, Inc. is requesting a 5 ft. variance from the required 20 ft. street <br />sideyard setback to construct an off-street parking area 15 ft. from Lakeview Point. <br />The building's front yard would be located on Campus Drive, and its north end <br />would be located on the Lakeview Point cul-de-sac. The Lakeview Point cul-de-sac <br />serves only U.S. West and the subject site and will not be used by the general <br />public.
