Gunderman feels that Council should further <br />discuss this issue with Stan Smith. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Rebelein, to DEFER ACTION ON STAN <br />SMITH'S RESIGNATION FROM THE CSC AND DISCUSS TmS ISSUE <br />WITH MR. SMITH. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Announcements and Undates <br /> <br />Jeanetta said the proposed property tax statements have been mailed to residents. <br />Any questions regarding the City's tax portion should be referred to the City's <br />Finance Department at 633.1533. <br /> <br />The public hearing for the 1994 Tax Levy and Budget will be held on December 8, <br />7:30 p.m., and if necessary, the hearing would be continued to December 17. The <br />tax levy and budget will be formally adopted on December 20, 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Williams noted that the Ramsey County League of Local Governments adopted an <br />action plan for the Ramsey County Gun Violence Prevention Initiative. The <br />comprehensive plan relates to prevention, community education, law enforcement, <br />prosecution, State statute changes, and courts and correction system <br />recommendations. He feels New Brighton should implement parts of this plan. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Stan Smith Resignation <br />Report 93-317 <br /> <br />Announcements and <br />Upd:ltPJl. <br /> <br />Tax Statements <br /> <br />Budget Hearing <br /> <br />Violence Prevention <br /> <br />Benke noted that part of the data provided at the Truth in Taxation Public Hearing Truth in Taxation <br />should include compensation information. J eanetta said the Finance Department will <br />prepare this information. <br /> <br />Benke said the League of Minnesota Cities (LMC) Board has had significant changes LMC Board <br />due to recent election results. The new President of the League will be the second <br />Vice President Chuck Winkelman, Mayor of St. Cloud.
