<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 14, 1993 <br /> <br />Page 1 5 <br /> <br />Council Business. continued <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Larson, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PROPOSED 1994 BUDGET. <br />MAXIMUM TAX LEVY AND ESTABLISHING THE PUBLIC HEARING DATES <br />AS; DECEMBER 8, 1993, WITH CONTINUATION TO DECEMBER 13. IF <br />NECESSARY; AND ADOPTION OF THE LEVY ON DECEMBER 14, 1993. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Announcements and Uodates <br /> <br />Rebelein said the Cable Commission has decided not to make a formal <br />recommendation in regards to the retransmission of network broadcasts. <br />Jeanetta said the Commission felt the negotiations with the commercial <br />television stations were going well and felt there was no need for lobbying. <br /> <br />Williams noted that Report 93-243, First Reading of an Ordinance <br />Amending City Code for Adoption of the 1991 Minnesota State Uniform <br />Fire Code, was included in the Consent Agenda and was approved. <br /> <br />Larson noted a Police report which stated that 14 New Brighton businesses <br />showed responsibility and restricted the sell of tobacco products to minors. <br />However, a small number of businesses did violate the ordinance and were <br />cited.
