Stony Lake Properties has an excellent reputation. Report 93-128 <br /> <br />Gary Vogel, Vogel Architects, presented concept plans which include three <br />retail buildings containing a combination of retail, service and professional <br />businesses. Also, an effort would be made to attract a small grocery. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Benke, to ACCEPT THE STAFF <br />REPORT AND AUTHORIZE NEGOTIATIONS AND PREPARATION OF A <br />DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF NEW <br />BRIGHTON AND STONY LAKE PROPERTIES, INC. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />The Metro East Partnership asked the City for its support for a three year <br />commitment and financial support. The support would not necessitate a <br />change in City budget, but provides that the City intends to remain with the <br />organization. Benke noted that the many valuable projects the organization <br />is involved in, and heartily endorses the continued membership <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Williams, to AUTHORIZE SUPPORT FOR A <br />THREE YEAR COMMITMENT WITH THE METRO EAST PARTNERSHIP. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Childs presented for consideration the establishment of a public hearing <br />date for the sale of Housing Revenue Bonds for Brightondale Estates. The <br />applicant is requesting the City re-issue housing revenue bonds in order to <br />refund the project's original bonds. <br /> <br />Motion by Williams, seconded by Benke, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE RESOLUTION SCHEDULING A PUBLIC HEARING ON MAY 25, <br />1993, FOR THE SALE OF HOUSING REVENUE BONDS FOR <br />BRIGHTONDALE ESTATES. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Announcement and Uedates <br /> <br />Metro East <br />Partnership <br /> <br />Brightondale Estates <br />Public Hearing <br />Report 93-065 <br /> <br />Announcement and <br />Uodates <br /> <br />The City is approaching the conclusion of negotiations with Alliant Tech PGRS Approval <br />and the Army as it relates to the Plume Groundwater Recovery System and <br />interconnection to Fridley. Alliant has let bids on the project and wishes to <br />complete the deal as soon as possible and requests Council approval prior <br />to the May 11 Council meeting. Childs suggested Council reconvene the <br />Council meeting to Friday, April 30 to execute the documents. <br /> <br />The North Central Cable Commission Corporation is undertaking a major <br />project which they will begin reviewing their entire system. City residents <br />should be aware that this activity will be occurring in their neighborhoods. <br /> <br />Cable construction <br />
