<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />April 27, 1993 <br /> <br />Page 1 5 <br /> <br />Announcement and Uodates. continued <br /> <br />Childs recently attended a meeting with Arden Hills and Ramsey County to <br />discuss a proposal to construct a joint public works maintenance facility in <br />Arden Hills. He noted several areas which may be beneficial for New <br />Brighton to participate in this joint effort. These areas include: the salt <br />storage facility, major equipment maintenance, employee training and sign <br />shop. Arden Hills and Ramsey County requested interested cities to <br />present them with a letter noting their interest in such a project. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Williams, to AUTHORIZE CITY MANAGER <br />TO COMMUNICATE THE CITY'S INTEREST IN A JOINT VENTURE OF A <br />PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE FACILITY. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />The New Brighton and Mounds View Police Departments challenge against <br />the Irondale Basketball Team was a fun time for all. <br /> <br />Childs will investigate the remedial efforts of the E-Z Stop leak. <br /> <br />Announcements & <br />UDdates <br /> <br />Public Works Facility <br /> <br />Basketball Game <br /> <br />E-Z Stop <br /> <br />Rebelein noted the generous donations made by Minar Ford in providing Donations <br />vehicles for Stockyard Days and the D.A.R.E. van. She suggested the City <br />formally thanked organizations like Minar Ford who make such generous <br />donations. <br /> <br />Staff will investigate alternative dates for the Community Recognition <br />Event. <br /> <br />The D.A.R.E. Bike-a-thon will be held on May 1. <br /> <br />The Association of Minnesota Municipalities annual meeting will be held <br />May 26.
