<br />" II <br />II <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO, 06-071 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BY <br />AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON, MINNESOTA AND THE UNITED <br />STATES POSTAL SERVICE FOR THE RELOCATION OF ITS POST OFFICE AT 1255 <br />OLD HIGHWAY 8 N,W. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council (the "Council") of the City of New Brighton, <br />Minnesbta (the "City") as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1, Recitals. <br /> <br />1.01 The City has been working for many months with the United States Postal <br />Service (the "USPS") to facilitate their relocation from their existing site at 1255 Old <br />Highway 8 N.W, to new sites being developed within the City. <br /> <br />,. 1.02 It has been proposed that the City provide a Letter ot' Understanding, <br />attached as Schedule A. <br /> <br />1,03. The USPS has asked for a resolution from the City approving this Letter of <br />Understanding. <br /> <br />Section 2. Findinas. <br /> <br />2.01 The Council hereby finds that the proposed Letter of Understanding promotes <br />the objectives as outlined in its Restated Development Program established pursuant to <br />Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.124 to 469,134, as amended. <br /> <br />2.02 The Council hereby finds that the current property is located in an area which <br />the Council is redeveloping as described in the Tax Increment Financing Plan for Tax <br />Increment Financing District No. 32 as approved by the Council. <br /> <br />III1 <br /> <br />I' <br />
